What a soul-led business actually means (and why it's never smooth sailing)
Have you ever wondered why your business journey feels so much bigger than just building a business? Why the fears that show up feel so personal, so tender, almost too big for something that's "just work"? ✨
That's not a coincidence. In episode 4 of Soul & Strategy, I'm unpacking what it actually means to build a soul led business, and why the hard, doubt filled moments aren't a sign that something's wrong. They're often the exact sign that something is working.

Why "soul-led" isn't just a nice phrase
I didn't become a yoga teacher and a coach to make money or because being a business owner sounded cool. I did it because of a calling, something inside me that wanted to help others step into their highest version. That's the difference between a business and a soul-led business.
Think of it like this: you're here on earth, and somewhere further out is your dream, your calling, not yet manifested, just an idea, a vision. The moment you start following that calling, you start growing. You're doing things you've never done before. Your identity expands. A soul-led business isn't just a business; it's a manifestation process and one of the biggest personal growth journeys you'll ever go through.
Starting a business will bring up everything
Here's the part nobody warns you about. Starting a business will reveal every limiting belief, every fear, every doubt about being visible, being rejected, not being good enough, money blocks, all of it. This is exactly why so much of my work with clients isn't only strategy and implementation; it's working through the fears and doubts that naturally surface the moment you start moving toward your calling.
The three stages you'll probably move through
Stage one is the calling itself, and often ignoring it because it feels too scary. Maybe you've sat with an idea for months or even years without taking action. If that's you right now, you're not behind; you're just in stage one.
Stage two is when you start moving forward. It's exciting and scary at once, because you've decided you actually want to make it work.
Stage three is the point where doubt creeps back in. Why am I doing this? Will this ever work? Is all this time, money, and sacrifice actually going to pay off? If you're here right now, please don't give up. Between where you are and your calling, there will always be roadblocks. Those aren't signs you took a wrong turn; they're the exact moments where the most growth happens.
Before the breakthrough, there's often a breakdown
I want to share something honest with you. I used to avoid running online workshops entirely. I stuck to in-peron ones because they felt safe and familiar, until one in-person workshop I ran had zero sign-ups.
That hit hard. I remember thinking, this is never going to work, maybe I should just give up, why am I putting so much energy into this? That was my breakdown moment.
But it showed me exactly what I'd been avoiding. So I finally ran my first online workshop. I had five discovery calls afterwards, and all five said yes. A 100% conversion, which is genuinely not the norm, and it only happened because of the breakdown that came right before it.
The pivot wasn't really about workshops at all. It was about leaving my comfort zone of what felt familiar and stepping into the next level of what I could actually hold.
Your business is here to grow you, not just fund you
Every roadblock you hit on this path is doing exactly what it's meant to do: it's building the version of you who can actually hold more, receive more, and create more impact. That's the real purpose of a soul-led business.
You're not doing this because you heard there's money in a certain industry and decided to chase it. You're doing this because your soul feels called to expand and to impact other people. That's the essence of soul-led business, and honestly, it's the exact reason I started mine.
If you're in a doubt-filled moment right now
If any of this stirred something in you, especially the part about the breakdown before the breakthrough, know that it's completely normal, and it doesn't mean you're on the wrong path. Keep going, especially toward the thing you're avoiding.
